People can have critiques, that’s why you ask, they can tell you better deals.

There really isn't much of a point in putting Windows on it's own drive. It made sense to do when 2.5 SSDs were still expensive. That got you a fast OS and still decent speed on mass storage. You're better off not getting that 240GB drive and then just adding another 1 or 2 TB drive later on.

With a lot of drives, it's cheaper to get a 2TB than 2x1TB drives.

RM1000x Corsair

Grab a pre 2021 model that doesn't have the triangle fan grilles. 2021 models come with 3 EPS cables, but only 2 PCIE cables. The only other difference is that it's got a different fan and fan curves making the 2021 model slightly louder.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

giga z690 aero g has the same i/o for less, also overclocking features dont matter cause cpu oc is dead and has been dead since 9th gen

Crappy ddr5 gets demolished by decent ddr4, get a 3600 ddr4 kit instead

Id reccomend the p500a cause mesh front for better airflow but if you are fine with your system cooking then stick with the 5000x, just dont complain if the temps are high xD

I built a very, very similar rig, but I went for the HX1200 Corsair PSU. What with an i9-12900KF Processor and looking at a RX 3090 - a 1000W seemed borderline.

It's hard to find a mobo that can support 4 m.2 NVME's I would stick to 2 TB m.2 NVME's. Also don't get a 240GB one cause they are slower and have worst endurance than their larger capacity counterparts. Wastes your very limited m.2 slots available as well.

Is your budget including GPU or not?

You could go with something like this though and still have budget for a GPU:

PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: Intel Core i7-12700K 3.6 GHz 12-Core Processor  ($517.99 @ Canada Computers)
CPU Cooler: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 280 72.8 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($140.72 @ Amazon Canada)
Motherboard: MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4 ATX LGA1700 Motherboard  ($269.99 @ Memory Express)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory  ($289.99 @ Memory Express)
Storage: ADATA XPG GAMMIX S11 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive  ($229.99 @ Amazon Canada)
Storage: ADATA XPG GAMMIX S70 2 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive  ($299.99 @ Amazon Canada)
Case: Corsair iCUE 5000X RGB ATX Mid Tower Case  ($234.99 @ Amazon Canada)
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA G6 1000 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply  ($214.99 @ Amazon Canada)
Total: $2198.65
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Unless you're a heavy multi tasker, I would stick with 12700K. You can go with 12900k if you'd like though

Good value Mobo

1 2TB gen 4 nvme for boot and 2TB gen 3 NVME for secondary mass storage.

Alternative PSU. Smaller than RMx so you have more space in PSU shroud to stuff cables into

I like the suggestions. No my budget does not include the GPU. The PC is a corsair build and I want ddr5 I know it isnt worth it but it will be by the time I buy them
