As long as you are using all available ram channels(2 in your case) the amount of RAM all depends on what you are doing, not what CPU you have.

Most normal tasks and gaming dont benefit any from having more than 16GB RAM. But some tasks like video/photo editing, CAD modelling and such can benefit from more RAM.

Also by experience, modded Cities Skylines also benefits from more than 16GB
