Switch fans

Go to solution Solved by Oshino Shinobu,

With 10, you'd probably be fine as long as it has some airflow at least. Best solution would be to replace them with ones from the likes of Noctua, but at that point the fans would cost more than the switch

Ok so i needed a larger switch as my 5 port one was full and i decided to go to the local computer recycling charity to see what they had. The only Gigabit switches available were Netgear GS748v3 48 port ones. As they were only £20 i picked one up. It works well so far but i was wondering if it was ok to unplug some of the case fans as I am not going to go beyond around 10 RJ45 connections and it is quite loud as it is intended for a rack mount?
