Here's a quick glance at my situation.

I recently purchased a tritton 720+ headset for my pc and it has been working flawlessly up until recently. Randomly one day the microphone just stopped picking up sound, so my first thought was that since this headset has a detachable microphone, that I should just buy a replacement microphone, so I did. However this does not fix the issue. The headset works, and can play back audio fine. The mic is plugged in, detected by windows, set as my default device for recording, and its not muted on the headset itself, and still doesn't pick up any audio. I've tried configuring it, setting it up as a new headset and almost any other online fixes. Its weird cause I didn't do anything to it that would cause it to break, like dropping it etc, it just stopped working.

All help will be appreciated.
