I recently decided to put make a gamingpc I when I found out that the gpu would cost the price of all the other components combined. I won’t be using this computer for much gaming, mostly just photoshop/adobe ilistrator and the internet, so can I just use the onboard graphics, my cpu is a i7-12700K or should I just buy a cheap gpu until I get a good one, if so get a cheap gpu can I use it with another gpu. Am I compleatlymising something, help?!?

yes the GPU prices suck.

You can likely use the integrated graphics since you have that, not as good like the AMD ones for graphic but AMD's are worse CPUs for the price? (intel F series do not have iGPU). Cheap GPU? if its not too old or have issues, but those prices are also a bit... unless you find something. Not sure how much graphic processing one would like to have, but would think using the iGPU would work at least, until new GPU releases and change in price.

The onboard graphics would be fine for what most people do on Photoshop. Getting a cheap new GPU now would probably be worse than onboard graphics believe it or not. Most GPUs on the really low end where you're giving up a kidney can date back to 2018 and sometimes 2014...

Ouch... Those things are worth sub 50 bucks at best.

The second hand market wouldn't be much better as everyone knows GPUs are hard to come by... so even the used market is full of inflated prices for aging hardware. GTX 960s for instance are selling for upwards to 200 CAD where I am.
