I live in college-type dorms and the wi-fi they have only allows one device per passcode. This means I can only have my desktop, laptop or phone connected at once. Is there anything I can do to get around this?

I've found something that may help but I'm not too familiar with networking: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=200_1438&products_id=27352

Thanks all  :)

Use a Wi-fi booster, it will still only show up as a single device connected with that particular pass code.

Would it be possible to create a private network from my desktop and also connect my desktop to the college's WiFi then share the internet access over my private network...?

Edit: with this would I need 2 network adapter cards?

Yes, you would need WIFI --> LAN or WIFI --> LAN. what i would do would be to just get a cheap router and NAT all of the traffic
