Hey all, wondering if I could have some help with a strange issue.

Basically my computer has been functioning fine, I power it down one night and install a windows update (windows 10).  The next day I get on to play some games, and my game is stuttering visually and through audio every 4 ish seconds. It wouldn’t stutter if I was just on my desktop or watching a YouTube video, only while playing games. In the task manager I notice that the stutters are coincided with my GPU usage maxing out at 100%. This was never happening before, and I shouldn’t be maxing out my hardware as I have a solid rig (specs below).

I wasn’t sure what the issue was. I tried undoing the windows updates I had installed, that didn’t work. Updated drivers, that didn’t work. Made sure everything was seated properly into the mobo, it was.

I wasn’t sure where to go, but I loaded into the bios menu and the same stuttering was happening in the bios. Which was odd, because it wouldn’t happen on my desktop, but only in games and the bios menu. I never updated my bios, there aren’t any new bios updates for me to download, I never changed any settings, etc. any ideas? Specs below:

Ryzen 5600x

B550m Aorus Pro

Corsair Vengeance RGB 2x16gb 3600

Samsung 970 Evo m.2

MSI 2060 Super

First thing that comes to mind is GPU dying but, it also happens in your BIOS, that is weird, have you tried reseating your card? And or stress testing it via furmark?

Also there are a lot of BIOS updates out there, are you sure you are running the latest version? (F14)

I sure hope the GPU isn’t dying, I’ve only had it for 2 years I think.

I did try reseating the GPU, now that I think about it I might be on F13. Will update bios and stress test as well to see what happens.

I am on the latest bios, F14e.

What was interesting is that during the stress testing, obviously my GPU usage was maxing out, but there wasn’t any visual stuttering happening
