ok so i bought a new labtop im not running anything on it but theres a bunch of background processes which is eating up the 8gb ram. im thinking about upgrading ram to 2x16gb 3200mhz ram where is a good place in canada to buy it.

alright that looks good now what about a ifixit kit which one would be best for this type of labtop

HP laptop is going to be 3-4 small Phillips screws, usually M2 or M2.5, a little screwdriver from like a dollar store would work fine. HP doesn't use any F-U bit types. And if you lose a screw, generally the size and length is listed next to the screw hole.

For popping the tabs open, you can use an old gift card or something similar.

Also I was gonna go with 2x16 fb memory from 1x8gb stick. Is it possible to just put in another 1x8gb stick which is like 50$ I think I should be fine with 16gb

Assuming that they have radically changed the board from my Pavilion to yours, I would say that should be fine, just make sure they are matching sticks, OEM systems can be very picky with what sticks they use.
