Help me decide on a GPU

So ofter contacting a lot of ads for 2nd hand GPUs because not a single one is available in any store here in Switzerland and almost getting scammed twice and missing 2 great offers already because I couldn't make up my mind I am finally going to make a purchase decision now.

I have the choice between an MSI 1080ti Gaming X for $542
and an Asus 3060ti Dual Mini for $872

I have a 240mhz monitor I play at 1080p, i play competitive games at 300fps and single player games at the highest quality possible but I dislike to sacrifice too much in terms of FPS aswell. Also worth mentioning that I will watercool, all my other components are watercooled. I need a gpu now because my 1080 GTX failed.

I know these aren't exactly bargains, but it's really impossible to find anything for cheaper and even if I would find something cheaper, i'd save $50 at the most on a 3660ti.

For 1080ti there is a bit more leaway I could in absolute best case scenario save maybe $80, but there is very limited availability even in the 2n hand market in my country. I went as far as checking in neighboring Germany but most serious sellers only accept pickup in person because they don't want to risk getting scammed with buyer protection from PayPal or other services and buyers (incuding me) are not willing to buy without any protection. I contacted many ads to no avail.

 

So it pretty much just came down to one of those 2 offers.

 

What would you guys recommend me?

Personally, I would choose the 1080ti. The 300$ gap between the 3060ti and the 1080ti is not worth the small amount of fps you’ll get.
