2-3 weeks ago I was testing video cards with my friend and one of the video cards before pluging it in the slot I forgot to turn off the power suply and removed the cable. It made a little spark after that the first pci slot stopped working, so I thought I burned my mb slot which is asus rog strix b550-a gaming. Today I sent my board to the place I bought it for service and got myself some cheap board for replacment till my comes back. The board is AsRock b550m-HDV. I get the board put almost everything from my other board in this one and the pc is not posting anything.So I call my friend and ask him to give his cpu 3700x because i think the bios doesn't support the Ryzen 7 5800x i use. He comes we put his cpu in the mb everything is booting we update the latest bios and put my cpu back in, and the same thing happens not booting. The mb i bought is with only one pci express slot. So we put my cpu in his mb which is Aorus b550 pro and put my video card on the first pci express slot too the same thing happens not booting. So we put the vc on the second pci epxress slot and it boots with my cpu. My question is: Is it possible that my cpu got burned or atleast some of the lanes and the mb is completly fine.
