I was using my pc earlier in the day and put it to sleep like I do before I leave then when I came back it was still asleep with the power button flashing as it always does. When I pushed the power button nothing happened I brought the pc out to work on and here is what I have found. When I unplug the pc and all the lights turn off inside then plug it back in and press the power button the fans spin and the gpu lights up for about 1/2 a second then turn off and every time I press the power button after that nothing happens I have to turn the psu off and then on again to get it to make the fans and gpu light go on again. The whole time whenever the psu is on and plugged in the mother board rgb light are on. I have tried unplugging and plugging the motherboard power connecter and the connecter for the cpu and gpu I have also tried to boot with no gpu and I get the same result. I have never had any issues before. I do not have easy access to swappable parts at the moment so I am asking before I try to source any.

My specs are

- intel 6700k

- Asrock z270 extreme

- evga gtx 1060 6gb ssc

- 4x4 coursair vengeance lpx ram

- evga bq 500w 80+ bronze semi modular power supply

- 1 samsung 850 evo 256gb

- 1 samsung 850 evo 512gb

- 1 samsung 950 m.2 1tb

Does anyone have any ideas on what I should try or what it could be?  I also noticed that what I believed to be the bios light is no longer on which I remember it being on last time I looked and on the asrock forums it says this light is always on, but I haven't looked at mine in a long time because I never needed to so I dont know if it being off is a new thing. I also haven't done anything to my pc in terms of hardware upgrades since the summer when I added the 1tb m.2.

Any ideas and responses are much appreciated.

Try a CMOS clear first. Pop out the battery, remove the cable from the wall and hold down the power button for 1 minute.

See if it changes.

Try min config after. Same idea power and and you MUST remove the power cord from the wall. Remove one component at a time so you can find what causes it.

Make sure to try at least two RAM sticks in the main slot your manual says to use.

I cleared the CMOS and it is now on but I have no display out on the motherboard or from the gpu. I did start the computer without any peripherals connected to it.

yes. when I turned it off again it went back to the old issue then I did it again and it turned back on and still has the same problem.

Try replacing the CMOS battery, then min config to see if any part is causing the issue. Reminder to remove power from the wall when you do so
