Ok, great, so my advice helped?

I figured.. Drivers are usually the root of a lot of evil!

Yup. Even before I changed drivers weird temps and fan speeds were gone because of VSync (I was right yay!) but I was still crashing. So I uninstalled 13.12 and got the new one (14.something) and crashes stopped :D
