So I recently bought a TCL A3 from walmart and its supposed to have their family mobile plan on it but it just refuses to activate. according to my account the line is active but the actual sim card on the phone won't activate. I've restarted my phone, I've reset the network settings and I've also troubleshooted the APN settings but no dice. I really am at a loss at this point and I need this phone for work because I ported the number and thats the number that they have. The phone will work just fine and connect to the internet but if I try to make a call or text someone or try to use data it doesn't work. I am starting to think that this is a sim card issue but I wanted to get someone elses advice. I also called their tech support and they say that the line is active but hasn't been put on to a device but the sim that is supposed to be activated is in my phone right now. I really am at a loss at this point. Do I just give up and make them give me a new sim or phone?

I'd make them give you a new both phone and sim so you can be sure it actually works since it's critical to your life. In the mean time maybe grab a trac-phone or other disposable pay as you go phone so you can get in touch with your work to let them know what's going on.
