Hi,

I'm using an i7 4770 with Noctua NH-D15. Today I noticed it got really loud while cooling under load.
It turns out it only started working a few seconds after the CPU was under load, it corresponds with the temp read on HWMonitor, it stays low (around 30-40 Celcius) and then suddenly jumps to almost 90 triggering the cooling.
I've changed the paste and remounted the cooling, but the issue persists.

PC:
i7 4770
MSI GTX 970
Asus H87M pro
Noctua NH D15
PSU - OCZ MXP 600W

Does your motherboard have options for setting up a fan curve? If so, there should also be an option for how frequently it checks the temperature. You can try having it check more frequently to see if triggering the fan sooner helps.

Thanks, I'm having the infamous asIO.sys (2)!! error. So I cannot install any asus mb software to do that.
What I've done tho, is turn off cpu turbo mode in BIOS and it seems to have resolved the above normal temperetures problem, although temps still behave unnatural.
I also had CPU Fan Error in BIOS, but I disabled monitoring so it doesn't appear.
I'll try to work arund the asIO error and let you know if that helps.
