Drive has suddenly disappeared?

Go to solution Solved by orangecat,

Can you see the drive in your bios

Yea i fixed it the BIOS was set for Legacy only not UEFI and legacy. The drive is formatted as a different type so it wasn't showing up but strangely i haven't entered the BIOS in months so it shouldn't have been changed i wonder how that happened.

EDIT: Solved, the bios wasnt set to find GPT drives for some reason.

So I have a 120GB SSD as well as a 640GB HDD in my system along with an older 200GB drive that i use to store TV shows and movies on and suddenly it has disappeared from my computer (The physical drive is still there but its not working). Basically i checked to see if it was plugged in and it is. I looked to see if it was spinning up and it does and all of the connections are solid but my main problem is suddenly its not showing up. I didn't even notice this right away because i hard use it just now I noticed it wasnt there.

Any ideas?

I know this is off-topic but how do you change the color of the bar

That happens when the drive is near full in relation to the capacity.

did you recently add ram or have a power outage? that might trigger a reset, .

The power did go out for a few seconds the day before that might have caused the BIOS to reset.
