Lenovo TD350 Server won't post

htusa31

Today I noticed the my backups were not operating upon my return from vacation. I logged in and it would not allow me to start a backup. I figured it was just an error and decided to do a system restart.

Server would not come back up after it powered down. I cant get it to post of show anything on the screen.

If I leave the redundant power supplies plugged in, their fans will spin up, then ramp down. Power button doesn't do anything.

I have reseated the memory, checked all the plugs nothing works. It just sits in a low power state, fans running slow speed.

I have decharged the system by removing the power and cmos, then holding down the power button.

I need some help here.

I'm a little confused as to what your problem is. I had a recent problem where my drives stopped responding and needed to restart the controller from OS. Maybe could prevent boot.

It sounds like you might have a bad or damaged powersupply. or maybe a short, possibly caused by dust?
