I tried to plug my integrated gpu at the same time as the dedicated one.

Manthus

I wanted to plug my integrated gpu at the same time as the dedicated one, and accidentally set the integrated gpu to give itself 3 gigs accidentally. Now when I press the power button, the pc starts, but no display or keyboard and mouse. This has happened to me in the past once, and fixed it by tearing all the pieces and putting them back where they belong.

Try a BIOS reset. I assume you set the RAM allocation in the BIOS....

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

Yes, so do I do that by getting the bios battery out and putting it back in?

There are several options.

That is one (pull and wat 5 minutes) but sometimes, depending on the motherboard, there is a jumper you have to change as well.

Your motherboard manual will tell you this information

Your motherboard may or may not have one. It could look like this. This is why listing relevant information and specs is helpful.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

I listed my base specs. Maybe that'll help.

That does not have a jumper, so you're going with the battery method.

It does, its listed however as CLRTC that you should short with a screwdriver if you do not have a jumper handy.

Make sure the PSU is turned off first and left for a few minutes.  Some suggest pressing the power button with the PSU off to make sure all power is drained BEFORE trying to reset the CMOS.

That's what I get for skimming through the manual real quick.

I always tend to go straight to Google Images to look at the board layout myself.

I accidentally pressed the "solved button". Now I did short those pins, and nothing happened

Tried aswell the cmos battery method, So I tore all my pc apart and put it back together, and did some cleaning and cable management on the way. Now it works.
