Im going to reinstall windows of a usb boot drive my questions are

1. What will happen to my drivers. Is windows going to try and reinstall it? If so how long will it take to reinstall all drivers.
2. When I am in the windows installation wizard, there is a part where i have to delete and do whatever with pqrtitions or something. Could someone please explain what to do when i get there?

Thanks in advance!

1 you'll have to reinstall drivers yourself, as Windows install will erase your file anyway (it reformat them)

2 Windows install asks if you want to change your storage setup, ie split a 2TB drive in 1+1 or whatever fancies you

1 you should normally have some backup files or links to reinstall the laptops drivers, but really it depends on the brand/model... when I had one it offered some software to create a windows and drivers reinstall boot drive

2 juste creat 1 partition, should be the default option

  1. Windows Update will install required drivers.
  2. There are plenty of detailed guides about Windows installer. Like here https://www.windowscentral.com/how-do-clean-installation-windows-10#clean_install_windows10 The short of it being that you only need to select biggest partition you have, and select if you want to keep files from previous install or not.
