Question for goXLR users

I have a quick question to anyone that has a goxlr. I was using a soundblaster k3+ with my klipsch speaker set up. I noticed on the Klipsch speakers before i would hooke them up to any mixers that i did not have to turn up the volume hardly up for my speakers to be blasting. Ever since i moved over to the goXLR I have noticed that with my speakers plugged in I have to crank the volume way up, almost half way up, to get a decent volume on them.  I have also noticed when loading into windows that if a sound comes across my speakers before the goXLR app loads it will sound super loud but the moment the goXLR app loads the volume is way lower. even with my volume in windows being still set to 100% and the only variable that can be affecting this is the goXLR itself.  Anyone else notice this or could it be that I got a bum goXLR??  other than this volume issue the thing works great.
