Budget (including currency): 300-400 USD

Country: America

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: gaming, maybe editing, recording.

So I currently have an Athlon 3000g on integrated graphics with 16gigs DDR4 3200 cl16 Trident Z ram. Pretty different worlds of hardware, I know. But I recently (last night in fact) bought a decent pc with a GTX 1060 3gig and an i7 4770k. It came with 16gigs DDR3, cl 9, and windows 10 pro.
I plan on selling it, I much prefer AMD, and I’m also replacing its PCIE Wi-Fi card with a usb antenna. I’m putting all that stuff in my Athlon PC, but I really want to upgrade it. I need at least a new mobo, cpu, PSU and case. Pretty much a whole pc, I know. But I need a case with good airflow, and a b450 mobo. I know what psu I want, and I’m leaning towards a Ryzen 5 5600G and an Aorus Elite V2 or Tuf Gaming mobo. Something that looks ok with good upgradability. Thanks for all your future suggestions

p.s sorry about formatting, I’m on mobile

Not an expert on AMD CPUs, but doesn't the "G" part mean integrated graphics? You shouldn't need that now that you have a dedicated video card...no?

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

You would be correct, but the 5600G is a 6 core 12 thread processor with a higher base clock than the 5600X for less money. Also, im not interested in overclocking. So it think its a good option, especially because apu's are useful for future upgrades. In my opinion.
