Does Q87 chipset support ecc memory?

Hello,

I am planning to upgrade to upgrade my processor from a Celeron G1840T to a Xeon E3-1230 V3 and ram from 4gb to 16gb recc.

I know for sure that the Xeon supports ecc but on the internet I am finding conflicting information about what Intel chipsets supports ecc. Some websites say that only "C" series Intel chipset support it. While other say "B and Q" series also supports it. My motherboard is a PlexHD Q87 and it even has the option to option to enable ecc support in the bios (see the image). I am very skeptical and can't afford to waste my money by buying incompatible ram.

Thanks.
