Hi everyone,

after turning my pc off or setting it to sleep, often times, when I try to turn it back on, it wont post and get stuck on the cpu debugging led of my MSI X570 GAMING PLUS motherboard. After some time (30 secs to half a day) it will turn itself off and after that it will boot normally when turned on. Cutting the power off doesnt help, it will only post after shutting itself off.

This behaviour started without any hardware changes and I had no problems before.

My specs are:

  • MSI X570 GAMING PLUS
  • AMD Ryzen 3600x
  • 2x 8 GB Crucial Ballistix RGB
  • Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB
  • Corsair RM 750 PSU
  • Windows 11

What I've tried so far:

  • I reseated my cpu 3 times (no pins are bent)
  • updated my BIOS
  • reset my BIOS and CMOS
  • tried booting with only the power cord plugged in
  • Different OS (Windows 10, Windows 11 and Linux)

Im not sure if this is a hardware problem, after all after some time it will boot and run perfectly normal.

Has anyone any idea what I could try/do? Thanks in advance.

I would start to point fingers at the motherboard but with these things its hard to tell. If you have a repair shop around you or someone with extra hardware thats compatible I would say thats the easiest way is just to start swapping things out and seeing what fixes it. (this doesn't work for everyone as not everyone has access to extra hardware)
