Steam not functioning on mac.

There is error reports, i have no clue how LTT.com will format them once i post this so sorry if they are too big and tell me how to make them smaller (they look big on my screen). This is a friends mac, steam just doesn't open, crashes, and gives this.

I just get broken images, but what kind of mac does he have? This is important given the disparity between Intel and ARM

#2 is MacOS updated to the latest version available?

#3 Is bootcamp an option? Windows would be better for gaming as MacOS support on games isn't great, especially on an iMac this old.
