Faster m.2 nvme as windows storage or gaming storage

Just to Clear something I've bought 2 m.2 nvme SSDs for my upcoming build.

1) Crucial p5 1 tb

2) WD SN570 1 tb

 

Crucial SSD has better read and write speeds compared to sn570

So i was wondering which one i should have for windows installation and which drive i should use for my game installation location?

Both of these drives are fast, I would probably run the faster drive as my windows boot.

The Crucial P5 is the better driver since it has DRAM cache, while the WD SN570 does not and performance can and does suffer from this. 

 

I would use the WD SN570 as Windows and the Crucial P5 as your main storage/game drive as the DRAM cache will be more beneficial in this role than non cached like the SN570.

Thanks. The with windows will house my other heavy softwares like unreal engine, unity, Maya, blender and Adobe softwares and the other one I wanted to keep specifically for game installations.

 

Games will make more use of dram cache than some of the softwares i just mentioned?

 

Would you recommendation still remain same

No, then my recommendation would switch if you plan to have heavy applications like that on your main drive.
