Howdy, is your budget just for the PC or do you need a monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc? Just asking because you said you’re starting from the ground up.

Neither of those builds are very good. The gpu is not worth $350. Not even close.

You are also overspending in other areas considering the budget.

I would hang on a few weeks for CES 2022 as the non 'K' 12th gen and B660 boards should be announced.

The spec below is a bit over as I assume there is still sales tax to add ? , but you didn't specify if you needed a monitor and peripherals etc. Also gpu prices are still inflated.

PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: Intel Core i5-11400 2.6 GHz 6-Core Processor  ($189.88 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Vetroo V5 52 CFM CPU Cooler  ($29.99 @ Amazon)

Storage: Silicon Power P34A80 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive  ($91.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon RX 6600 XT 8 GB NITRO+ Video Card  ($549.98 @ Newegg)

Hey! I apologize for not specifying the 1300 is just with the monitor. Keyboard and mouse I do have some options I have already. I’m mainly focused on gaming but I don’t really know what’s the best performance with computers and stuff I do apologize again I’m not really knowledgeable on PC’s.

Hey I apologize for the vague explanation in the post but for a new monitor. I’m looking for something that’ll be a great build and the monitor to be a great resolution and great frame rate

The list I posted is pretty much the best you can get for your budget. You can wait for CES in Jan to see what prices are like for the i5 12400. The Ryzen refresh cpu's should also be announced.
