In a market where prices and availability are battling to see who can be more disappointing, you can't help but think back to way things were, and how the current products were intended to be. TechPowerUp has spec sheets for every graphics card you can think of, but one of their unique features is an overall relevant performance scale. By selecting the slowest GPU on that list, the GeForce GT 210, you can actually get distinct performance "scores" for the graphics cards of the last several years. By adding this number into some very basic equations with each card's MSRP and TDP, I have created a rough guide for what to expect from all current gen graphics card (on average) according to TechPowerUp.

This is not an attempt to objectively deem one graphics card as "the best" since the feature sets of AMD and Nvidia are quite relevant for a chunk of people. This is simply to show how each card holds up across the board. The numbers here aren't completely arbitrary though, so they should be used as a baseline from which you can stack more details on top of from individual reviews for a well calculated buying decision. I will post updates whenever a new GPU drops or an entry is changed, and all feedback is welcome as always.
