New Build - GPU not recognized

Hi, new build PC, made the same PC for my son as my own:

 

• Asus Z390 Mobo - New (same as my own PC)
• Corsair CX750F RGB, 80 PLUS Bronze Fully Modular ATX Power Supply - New
• i7 8700k - Old (same as my own PC)
• 980 TI - Old (from my working PC)
• 2 x 8gb RAM - Old (same as my own PC)
• SSD & HDD - Old (same as my own PC)

Have spent around 6-8 hours trying to get the new build to recognize the GPU:

• It powers up, the lights are on
• It is in PCI Slot 1, but the UEFI/BIOS doesn't recognize it is in
• On start up the fans spin but stop after a few seconds
• I have replaced the cables
• I have tried the other PSU (the only hardware difference from my own PC)
• Tried PCI Slot 2
• Reset the whole PC (drives are from the old one)
• Tried downloading GeForce Exp. and the drivers (won't install due to not being recognized as having a NVIDIA GPU)
• Reset the BIOS settings
• Tried another working GPU, Quadro P2000, same result (works in my PC not in the new one)

I am certain the card is seated properly, that the card works and that the fault does not lay with the PSU. Could it be a Windows 11 issue? My PC is running 10, that literally is the only difference. Going crazy trying to work this out...!

Install win10 and see what happens...

From a psare system (ie your existing win10 PC) download a program called Rufus. Also download, right from MS, a copy of win10 that matches the license key you have (home/pro/etc) and use Rufus to install to a USB stick.

 

Insert USB stick into new PC and boot off it...
