Most optimized/efficient streaming software?

I've been wanting to stream games for my friends for a while (without using discord's screen share), I've tried Nvidia's Shadowplay Broadcast feature but it's soooo bad! It doesn't work on twitch, it just shows a black screen (googled, and no fixes), it works fine on youtube, though the quality is REALLY bad, i had it at 1920x1080 with 10mbps as the bitrate (12 mbps upload speeds, saved some for the actual game i'm playing), i've tried messing with the settings all i can on youtube's end, made sure to set the latency to "normal" for the "highest quality" but to no avail. My guess is that I would need a good program for this kind of stuff, I've used OBS before and it worked great, it gave users lots of settings to optimize their streams, though i've heard it has a lot of overhead, and now twitch made their own streaming tool and theres many more on the market. Which one do you guys think is one of the best tools for streaming? (I don't care for the cosmetic features like chat box, overlays and such) I also don't mind if the program is free/paid

OBS is the gold standard. There is a reason, nothing else compares. If you looked at a poll for every professional streamer, nearly all of them if not all of them are using it.
