GPU fans spinning at max out of nowhere and no display

Hello everyone!

recently I’ve been having some trouble with my GPU.

Whenever I’m using my pc my graphic card will sometimes make its fans spin really really hard and the display will go away. Its not a specific thing that happens when I’m doing a specific thing but it just happens every now and then. I have to reboot my pc in order for the GPU to work normally again.

Doen anyone know how to fix this?

pc specs:

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600x
GPU: Gigabyte 1660 super

MOBO: Gigabyte b450 Paris pro

Memory: Corsair vengeance pro 16gb

PU: Corsair CX 550m

+ 2 ssd’s and 1 hdd which I don’t know the specifics of

case is a Corsair Spec-Omega RGB

Sounds like a physical GPU issue, but could be software.

I would start with a clean installation of NVIDIA drivers and see if the issue persists.

You could also try a reseatting the GPU. While you are reseating it, look and see if you see anything obviously wrong with it.

Clean installing NVIDIA drivers seemed to solve the problem

Thanks!
