I'm about to get a new 128gb Kingston SSD for my pc, but before doing that I got a little bit worried; my pc might not have the newest components and it kind of makes me wonder if I'm going to be able to install it or use it. Is there something I should know before buying an SSD? Compatibility issues? Cables? Power supply?

Why don't you list your components?

Generally, it won't be an issue. They take next to no power, all you need is a SATA and SATA power cable.

I wouldn't bother buying just a 128GB drive. Drives that have a more usable amount of storage really aren't much more.

I actually forgot about that, got an 3rd gen i5, 12gb RAM, and a 500gb HDD, plan to install windows on it and have my most important programs there. Don't have any spare SATA cables so I guess using the DVD drive wont be such a bad idea
