What do you mean, "the GPU disconnects"?

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

do you hear the "palumph" windows sound of disconnected hardware?

 

I had that once, the reason as a faulty seasonic psu... as soon as the gpu left the 2d mode (a GTX 560) and went to 3d af few minutes in it went black, hardware disconnection sound, reconnecting sound, screen back on, and repeat every few minutes. 

 

swapping out the psu to a new one helped fixing that.

It's a 7 year old card. Just on its way out, most likely.
