Skyrim mods

Hey guys! I was wondering if you guys could recommend some mods for me to use on Skyrim. Also how do armor mods work? How do you equip the armor?

some mods depending on players gender require body mods eg if your female you would need cbbe or 7base but you just find the armor and equip them

When you download an armor mod do they just appear in your inventory?

you usually have to craft them, buy them or complete quests for them etc... depends on the author

not always some require the console to be added other finding them or smithing

you can always cheat and use console command to get it though

Here is a good link to get you started in swimming through the sea of mods.  I don't consider this list definitive in any way, but it's a very good one, and it's well laid out.

 

If you want to go real in-depth, check out Gopher's Youtube Channel.  If you're completely new to modding, he's got a GREAT beginner's guide to modding Skyrim that's also applicable to other similar games.  If you're familiar with the procedure, you can skip to the 5th video in that guide and it'll start looking at some of the main mods used (user interface, water, weather, et cetera).
