Tried to hard reset it, didnt work

Phone is working perfectly fine, i am able to boot it up and even unlock it and use it, but the screen wont turn on

Clean the screen and use flashlight on light sensor or proximity sensor if that doesn't do anything then go use warranty.

Hold volume down and power for 40 seconds. If you see a Blue Warning screen... Be careful, DO NOT click volume up. To restart phone (if it will) press volume DOWN.

Does the battery feel warm on the back? Can you feel it vibrate?

If this doesn't do anything.. GG

What will it do?

Battery is cold, and the phone is also cold

The phone is working perfectly fine, the screen is just black

Im able to unlock it by entering the pin and even with my fingerprint

I am also able to power it off by holding the power button and pressing power off twice

I just cant see anything

If the device vibrates and you can unlock the device, the screen is dead and needs to be replaced. No idea what would have caused that to happen, but she's a goner. RIP

Big rip

Now the question is do I repair it using the warranty or third party

If the shop replaces the screen, I will still have my waranty but it can take up to 10 days and im home only on weekends so I need my phone everyday (im with a backup phine right now and its driving me insane)

If I get it done via third party it will take 30 minutes but i wont have my warranty anymore, I know someone so it wont be expensive at all, 20 bucks at max or maybe even free of charge

A new screen is about 420 bucks

And I will also lose the ip68 in both cases

Well that sucks

Phone is 9 monthes old, not a single scratch

Still got the out-of-the-box screen protector, and not a single screen burn

I would go for the warranty, since it still has more than a year warranty, and if you wore out the battery before 12 months has passed since device purchase you will be able to replace battery for free.

I dont know l if its worth it

My battery is still good, even after 9 months

I dont think that the battery will go bad in 3 months

Warrenty ends in Feb

I’d submit the repair under warranty and purchase a $130 android device from Walmart to use for a few days. It will work for daily tasks, just not amazingly… then you can open box return it if you’re a savage. Also I’ve seen 3rd party repairs on a number of different Samsungs, the quality is oftentimes not the best.

I left the phone on for a day

Took it out of my bag to turn it off and the screen came back to life

I was able to use is normally but when I turned off the screen it died again

Maybe it the connection?
