If your friend wants to spend more than necessary that's up to him ;)

Firstly, just a few things to make sure:

- i7 3770K -- does he just want the best or will he utilize the additional threads for modelling/rendering/3D work?

- H100 -- why not the H100i? Seems a little curious considering the obviously high budget.

- Can I recommend the ASUS Maximus V Formula for this specific build? It has better inbuilt sound since you aren't getting a sound card and is roughly the same price.

- Do you intend to do more than gaming? A RAM disk won't perform all that much noticeably better than an SSD. You can get 8GB if you need to and that would still be more than enough.

- Why are you getting a 2.5" HDD when there are cheaper options with very similar speeds, such as a WD black?

- Good choice on the SSD.

- Why get a reference GTX 680? Do you prefer the look to something like an MSI Lightning?

- Case and PSU are fine; personal preference really.

- Mouse/Keyboard are personal preference

- Monitors are not. I would reocmmend a high-quality IPS panel, possibly with a greater resolution (if you want higher resolution like 2560x1440, a HD 7970 is preferable). It's a good monitor, but there are much much better ones out there and since you evidently have a high budget, I recommend you get a better one.

Let me know :)
