Hi Forum!

I recently built a gaming computer which I have been very satisfied with, although I experience lag due to my routers positioning. Currently my router is in our basement (which is very dumb I know) but I'm unable to move it because of many reasons regarding my brother and father. Right now I play upstairs. So my question is, what would a better buy be to improve my lag, a wireless repeater or another router? If i was able to put a repeater or router on the first floor, which one would improve my situation? I hope its clear that moving my first router out of the basement is not an option.
