First time posting, sorry if newb. I recently acquired a GTX650 2048RM GDDR5 PCIE graphics card that I would like to add to a 5 year old CG Series desktop. Since I only have 1 PCIE port on my motherboard I was thinking about adding the new graphics card externally using an PCIe Passive Adapter, see:

My main goal is to have the 9500 GT graphics card in my desktop remain as is, and add this new GTX650 to support 2 additional monitors. I have a 390W power supply. Does anyone have any experience doing this? Is there anything I should be worried about?

Thanks in advance.

@Elite

I think I should mention that my 9500GT is already supporting 2 monitors. Can the GTX650 support 4 monitors?

by the way, welcome to the best place in the world friend  ^_^

i think they can support 3 monitors easy (the 650 alone), but not sure on 4

maybe one more can answer that part (as far as i know, nvidia "don't like" we use two "non equal" cards)

but i have more experience with red cards, instead green ones on multimonitors setup

APU = A10
