Hi there,

It is probably a crazy thought but is it possible to change the VRAM in a graphics card? Say change VRAM of gtx 1050 ti from 4 GB to 8 GB with is a GDDR6 or something. Is it even possible? Would there be any sort of performance gain with using a GDDR6 VRAM if that is possible?

And for what? No gain to be had because of memory bus being locked in place at memory controller level. And yeah, that pretty much pushes you to make a completely custom BIOS, compatibility layer, and maybe also manipulate at die level at which point... sighs just wait for 3050.

Well, it was just a thought but yeah, swapping VRAM would be pretty pointless with all the things you said. But I just wanted to know if it was possible at all or not anyways.
