getting into simracing

I have been interested in the world of simracing for some time now. it has always fascinated me, and now, with the Christmas holidays approaching and in general to a period in which I will have a higher budget, I was thinking of buying myself a set of wheel and pedals.
questions arise immediately.
new or used?
in used cars, albeit without warranty, there are excellent offers, often low-end, such as the logitech g29 or the thrustmaster t150 pro. another variable to consider is the t300 rs gt, which I could remedy new as a gift. but is it worth it? maybe i wont'like sim racing and i will have wasted that much money.
what do you suggest?
it must also be considered that I am new in the field and I have a fairly limited budget (320 usd).
