Greetings all.  My Partner and I are both well versed in PC builds.  However, this has us both ready to rage smash this PC.

Backstory:

We get home from a trip Friday to find my Partner's PC had decided to shed the connector holding his GPU.  Thankfully it was off at the time.  We go and buy a new motherboard and processor, making sure that it was fully compatible with all of the stuff we wanted to keep - memory, GPU, etc.  First round was an ASUS ROG motherboard.  It wouldn't get past BIOS.  A day of fighting with it, and over an hour with support, and it's deemed the board is bad.  Back to the PC parts place to get an MSI motherboard.  Now THIS one won't get beyond the POST screen either.  To even get to the BIOS, we have to remove the CMOS battery and reset it. This is two motherboards that are giving us the electronic middle finger in a row.  We're stumped.
