I see there cheap tv  like Hinsen or TLC 4k with Vrr as the problem I read text daily 90 of the time like anime as in gaming I dont care reading them.

I heard about the BGR subpixel text blurry will this make it a problem to read tv shows or anime text  as I need to read.

I dont really read on pc as there to small or in games as I care for wacthing tv on streaming box as anime kinda need subtitles to understand the show.

Will I be effect for bluerry text?

I think that has something to do with how windows handels anti aliasing.

should be plenty fine if your using it as a tv.

It also depends on pixel density, lower can make it worse.

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

Subpixel layouts only cause text problems in traditional desktop environments because text lines are usually only a few pixels in width.

However subtitles in films are in comparison HUGE, so the subpixel layout is irrelevant.

Basically compare the text ur reading now as an example of traditional desktop use

to the text your reading now as what you would see as subtitles

As you can see, one uses only a few pixels whilst the others uses many, subpixel layout isnt an issue for large text.

If your watching hd, the clarity problem will be a non issue, the text should be fine

plus subtitles should be fine, so if your doing like normal size subtitles they will be to big to have a noticible clarity issue.

smaller, desktopsized text would be the issue

Any UI designed to be used on a smart TV will be big enough for subpixel layout not to matter as its designed ot be view from a regular TV viewing distance so small 1 pixel wide text isnt used.

Even Netflix on a PC browser ...the smallest text is the top most navigation bare for Home, series, films etc. Which could potentially get a bit blurry but thats it.

What about video games are there big enough too on steam.

Just my 2 cents, but running full 4:4:4 chroma is more important than the sub-pixel layout. I have a cheap-ish 65" Samsung RU9000 hooked to my HTPC and I get comments from people all the time on how clear the text is. It's a BGR layout, but the full chroma makes it nice and sharp.
