Pi Zero 2 W Emulation Performance issues

Hey all, as the title suggests I'm getting poor emulation performance on my pi zero 2 w. I've gone ahead and installed Retropie, overclocked the cpu to 1400mhz and added heat sink, installed a psx bios and attempted to play crash bandicoot. ETA Prime's review https://youtu.be/Jm8RiqAdHQE shows him getting a consistent 60fps in the game, however I'm getting only 45fps and his was only clocked to 1300mhz. I've tried lowering the resolution to no avail. I'm not sure what I could be doing wrong, if anybody has experience  with pis and has advice on this issue I'd very much appreciate it. Thanks!
