Weird dot on screen

Go to solution Solved by Zypppy,

Alright issue solved.
Dunno how or when but when I exited the steam it disappeared. Appreciate all the help!

New here, sorry if repeating post or something, googling gave no info/insight on what could be happening besides youtube videos on "how to clean your monitor of dust etc."
I dunno what even happened but after noticing it I cant unsee it and it's bothering me. I tried to wipe it off my screen at first until I took screenshot of it.
And info on what might have caused it in first place would be interesting to know

dead pixel

Why would a dead pixel appear in a screen recording?

E: OP, have you tried the monitor with another PC?

I am getting pretty fucking sick and tired of the "watch something else" responses. It's such a cop out answer because you could say that about basically anything, and it doesn't address the actual complaints. People use it as some kind of card they pull when they can't actually respond to the criticism raised but they still feel like they need to defend some company/person. If you don't like this thread then stop reading it. See how stupid it is? It's basically like telling someone "shut the fuck up". It's not a clever responsive, it doesn't address anything said, and it is rude.

MKBHD is but an Apple propagandist and fanboy. Take his videos with a grain of salt, especially about anything Apple. In his video titled "I Visited Apple's Secret iPhone Testing Labs!", he has shown that he makes no effort to fact check Apple's claims, and takes it at face value. I do not believe he can be trusted as an Reviewer/Influencer.

It's a zero-dimension window (with the drop shadow that Windows applies). Try looking at your task bar for a window you don't recognize, or else go through Task Manager and see if there's something odd running.

Oh dear, it's a screenshot, so it can't be the monitor xD - but then it must be some weird software thingy, no? And it DOES look like a crosshair, no?

Is it still there when you boot windows in secure mode?

I hope it just goes away with restart, but cant be bothered right now with trying doing secure boot and what not cuz gonna go have well deserved sleep after monday soon. Will see how it goes tomorrow

Ok so.
That "zero-sized window" appears when I do this
Go to one of games i have shared "From library of (Name of account who shared the game)"
And left click the person
Where your mouse was on the action the thing will appear
