Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)

So as of this morning I ended up having a hard drive replaced on a Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Series and it seems my only real problem is that I keep getting the Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed) Error message, but it only occurs when plugging in a Logitech G300 Mouse. Not sure why this is happening on Windows 8.1 but if anyone can tell illuminate said issue that'd be fantastic.

 

Chipset drivers and USB drivers are up to date.

Give this a shot:

 

go to device manager,

right click properties of usb device,

powermanager,

see if the "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is checked. If no uncheck it and try again after a restart
