Reasonable Pricing

TomPot

Hey y’all,

I’m currently in the market for a 3080, though don’t know what a reasonable price these days is. What do y’all think? I’m looking at the Gigabyte vision and Asus white edition for context. I’m really interested in this forums opinions on the matter, so please feel free to have some input.

Whatever you want to pay. Reasonable is different from person to person.

Personally, I don't buy video cards, so my valuation would be $0. The last few PCs I've built have all been pretty much free.

For recommendations for someone else, I'd say wait for them to return to retail, or if you have to buy now, no more than $200 over MSRP. You can still find excellent deals online with a little waiting and sniping of auctions. Have to buy complete systems though, not waiting for the cards themselves. Though my dad scored a liquid cooled 2070 Super last month for $425.

Haven't really looked at prices in about 2 month so I just looked on amazon and newegg and damn shit got expensive again.

Most 3080s cost more than I paid for my 3080Ti. So I honestly wouldn't buy right now.

I wouldn't pay more than 1000 for a 3080 and only if it is a top tier model. Anything else not more than 900.

Hm, $200 over msrp, okay. In that case I might have to wait until after the holidays. A little disappointing, though it’s the sad truth

It’s gonna be hard to find a high-end 3080 for less than $1000, even Best Buy ain’t going that cheap!
