Hello guys,

I would like to build/plan my first sim rig. My budget is around 950€ and parts have to be shippable to Germany. The place where I want to put my sim rig is about 2.15m * 2.88m, or for you imperial users it is about 7ft * 9ft. I am willing to buy used parts from ebay or other used part sides from germany. My biggest concern is finding a good display setup for my budget or maybe even going VR. I already have a PC, which is currently not working because of a dead CPU, but it should be able to run most modern racing titles. I really want to have loadcell pedals and the setup should allow further upgrades in the future. Is a triple monitor possible with my budget? obviously used monitors. Or would it be better to get a used VR headset and going into sim racing with VR? Should I get a prebuilt cockpit or built one myself?

If there are some sim racers here which could help me pick my gear, please let me know.

my specs:

MSI B450 Tomahawk Max

Ryzen 5 3600 (currently dead)

Patriot Viper Black 2x8GB 3600Mhz (running on 3400Mhz)

Corsair H100i PRO

Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super 3X Gaming OC

Corsair RM550x

Sabrent Rocket NVMe 512GB + Samsung QVO 1TB

Cpus dont just die like that

Did you shove volts to deathzone (~1.8v) or something?

Try dunking the socket of your mb with some 99% isopropyl alcohol and also dunk on your cpu pins to clean them then wait a day for it to dry

CPUs can, it's just not common.

If its still under warranty then try returning it

Ive abused the crap out of my cpus (shoving volts to deathzone aka ~2.05v, running them really hot, running them without a cooler, etc) and none of them have died, its only when i accidentally drop my cpus aka physical damage is when they actually die (substrate fked cause im on lga)

I didn't do anything to my CPU. I have isopropyl alcohl at home, but I am currently at school and already used warranty service, its shipping today back to seller.
