Help with CPU/RAM bottleneck

Budget: $500

Country: Brazil

Games: Competitive 144hz gaming(apex legends mostly, some mordhau and others)

Hey guys first time posting here nice to meet you all, so I need a bit of help in choosing which build will give me the best cost/benefit:

I have a 1660ti GPU, and a very old i5 2500k CPU(bless his old soul), and Im planning on upgrading by getting a new CPU, Motherboard and some RAM.
The problem im having right now is Im between buying a I5 10400F + H410M + 2*8GB ddr4 RAM for $391.00 OR Ryzen 5 5600x(same price as 3600 here) + B450M +2*8gb ddr4 RAM for $500.00.

The builds should give me pretty similar results based on Benchmarks on yt, the issue is the RAM speed, the I5 only allows for 2666mhz while the ryzen allows for 3200mhz, Ive been told the ram speed wouldnt matter much  since the CPU wont be bottlenecked by this GPU even on competitive settings, so i could save the extra 100$ to buy something else so I just wanted to verify if that is true or if the ram speed can maybe give me like 10-15% more or something to make up for the cost.

If you can wait an extra month or so, you can get a lot better prices. This is probably the worst time to buy a CPU and motherboard. Intel just announced their next-gen CPUs, so previous gen stuff will probably be heavily discounted within the next few weeks, and AMD is supposed to announce and release stuff pretty soon. 

 

What I would do in the meantime, if you really need the upgrade, go buy a 3770k (for a good price) and overclock the heck out of it. It may not be the best CPU, but it should be enough to tide you over until you can get a discount on last get parts.

Ty for replying, and good to know about those price drops, I was planning to wait until black friday at least to make sure i dont miss any sales, but Im already looking for what would be the best builds to complement my gpu.
