Build my mom who does paper and work a PC but im not sure what card to get. Something under $40-80 and no need for extras just really basic and reliable!

To add if you could find some high clocked dimms 8GB for under $80 i could grab the new AMD APU! then that would save me a ton of cash. It my moms birthday and shes running an old shitty 2005 dell something or other lol.

Just go integrated as she won't need to use the ram if she does basic stuff, look at 4gb of ram and you should be sweet.

You don't need high clocked DIMMs for the integrated graphics to perform basic tasks.

I know but my lil bro plays minecraft on her PC sometimes.

Well, he can play on your PC then. :)

 

Try looking for used cards on eBay. Since it won't be doing heavy gaming, you'll be better off spending money on a good, used card than a bad, new one.

Amd a8 apu or a10 if you got da mula. If you don't want a new cpu try getting an older r7 series.

for basic work even on 1600mhz memory with integrated graphics youre fine. if not then an gt 620 or 630 may work.
