Hello, I have been trying to get this PC working for days now and I have had no solution. We are trying to install windows 10 on this PC, and every time it gets to getting devices ready 94%, it bluescreens with the error code CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT. I have tried absolutely everything, different settings in the bios, reseating components with no luck. Any ideas?

**EDIT** We have a MSI x570 Gaming Pro Carbon w/ WiFi and a 3600X. Latest BIOS on MSI's website.

The CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT bug check has a value of 0x00000101. This indicates that an expected clock interrupt on a secondary processor, in a multi-processor system, was not received within the allocated interval.

(from https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/debugger/bug-check-0x101---clock-watchdog-timeout )

It may be that one of your components are faulty, either the CPU or a microprocessor on the board. Consider removing your GPU, trying a different CPU or changing out the motherboard. You might have to return one of the components.

Remember that all of the "devices" include things on the chipset, audio, SATA controllers, PCIe etc. Try a different board first, as that's the most likely cause.

The problem with the phrase “absolutely everything” is both negative and simultaneously all inclusive while being non-specific.  I remember one guy in the past who said that but it turned out that “absolutely everything” was resetting cmos and a cleaning with canned air. It’s just a hard thing to know.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
