Good question.... but it is a feature that is activated in hw ie bios so..... I am not sure.

I still believe your problems with games are related to using a sub-par integrated Intel GPU. I think that when your 750 Ti arrives most of them will disappear.

 

Other then that, I would make sure the PSU is still in spec, it looks like it's pretty old. A bad PSU can cause a lot of strange problems.

 

Upgrading from Windows Vista to Windows 8.1 will be great for performance in games and in most applications as there are significant improvements to the operating system.

 

DEP should not be a problem after you reinstalled EVERYTHING. Also the only way I see DEP blocking a game in mid-game is if the IGP driver is very old and has issues like memory leaks and addressing memory space that was not reserved to it.

I went to Intel's website, and there are no drivers available for my IGPU. I plan on buying a Corsair power supply in the future. I'll update on my situation once I get the card and try to run games with it.
