Question about my PC

It isn't really an issue. I was just thought it was odd that a card manufactured by MSI would be showing as a Nvidia card in device manager, if Nvidia wasnt the one to manufacture the card that is installed.

Ahh okay, MSI Makes the card itself, Nvidia still makes the chip on the card. The same goes for all the board partners ( ASUS, Zotac, Palit etc.)

So I am one of those filthy casuals who buy prebuilt computers, but I noticed something for the first time when I opened my pc to clean the dust out. My computer was sold to me as having a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER, but when I looked at the card itself it says "MSI Geforce RTX." HWMonitor shows it as the Nvidia card, and I use GeForce experience for my drivers. Is this normal or did BestBuy do something to trick the computer into showing the wrong card? If so I have been scammed?

ohhhhh that makes more sense. I guess that means that founders edition cards are only manufactured by the company that actually makes the chips.

As EpicDuck says, Nvidia design the card and then allow other manufacturers to make their own  versions.
